Grades 1–3
What learning in the younger grades and descriptive assessment look like.
Choosing a first school is an important decision, so we show what everyday life is like here for our youngest students.
We are a public eight-year school with three pre-school classes. We have 612 students and 58 teachers working with them.

Your child can start with us as early as the pre-school class. Five- and six-year-olds have their own rooms, a separate entrance and their own section of the playground.
They then go into first grade with friends they already know, in a building where they feel confident.
Grades 1–3 have their lessons on the ground and first floors, separately from older students. We spend the first weeks getting to know the school, the rules and new classmates.
The form teacher teaches most lessons with the class, so the child has one familiar person beside them. At the start of the year the speech therapist carries out screening, and the school counsellor and psychologist help children who need more time to settle in.

I was worried about first grade. After a week my daughter was packing her own backpack and telling me about her new friends.

We accept documents during the admissions period, usually in March, at the school office from 7:30 to 15:30.
Children from the catchment area are admitted once registered. Candidates from outside the area confirm their intention to enrol after the lists are announced.
