School lunches
In this section2 pages
We run our own kitchen and serve a two-course lunch every day for students and children from the pre-school classes.
How to enrol your child
The lunch declaration is submitted once per school year, by 20 September. It can be handed in at the catering office or the school office, or sent as a scan to the canteen's address.
Children can also be signed up for lunches during the year, from the first day of the following month. Cancellations must be made in writing by the 25th of the preceding month.
Rates, the bank account number and how the amount is calculated are described on the page about lunch fees.
How to cancel lunch
Please report your child's absence by 8:00 on the day, by phone to the catering office or by message to the canteen's address. The cancelled lunch is deducted from the following month's fee.
A report made after 8:00 does not change the fee, because the meal is already being prepared. A longer absence, such as illness or a trip, can be reported in advance.
On the day of a full-day school trip we cancel lunches for the whole group. Parents do not need to report anything.
Catering office and canteen
Once connected to the school's number, please dial extension 5. Cancellations are accepted until 8:00.
Special diets
We prepare meat-free meals for children whose parents tick this option in the declaration. No reason needs to be given.
We provide elimination diets for food allergies and intolerances on the basis of a medical certificate. Details are agreed with the catering manager. When the kitchen cannot prepare a particular diet, we look for a solution together with the parent, for example a meal from home warmed up in the canteen.
What lunch looks like
Lunch consists of soup, a main course and a drink, and the main course always comes with salad or vegetables. Twice a week we serve a meat-free dish and once a week a fish dish.
We plan the menu a week in advance, in line with nutrition standards for children and young people. We publish it on Friday for the following week, with allergens marked.
Serving times
Lunches are served in two sittings, during the twenty-minute breaks.
| Sitting | Times | Who |
|---|---|---|
| First, after lesson 5 | 12:20–12:40 | pre-school classes and Grades 1–3 |
| Second, after lesson 7 | 14:15–14:35 | Grades 4–8 |
Children from pre-school classes and Grades 1–3 come to the canteen with a teacher or an after-school club teacher. Students in Grades 4–8 come on their own, in the second sitting. Children from the after-school club eat lunch in their year group's sitting, supervised by an after-school club teacher.
