What we teach

Here we describe what the school gives a child over nine years – from the pre-school class to the eighth-grade exam.

    The student's path

What we provide for every student

    • Foreign languages – English from Grade 1, German from Grade 7.
    • Textbooks and workbooks – free of charge, from the school library.
    • After-school club care – from 6:30 to 17:00 for the pre-school classes and Grades 1–4.
    • Extra activities – 16 clubs and 4 sports sections, all free.
    • Specialist support – from the school counsellor, psychologist, speech therapist, special education teacher and career adviser.
    • Class project – one a year, combining several subjects.
    • Educational outings – at least four a year, linked to lessons.

    When a child needs support

We run corrective and compensatory classes, catch-up classes, speech therapy and classes developing emotional and social skills. Catch-up classes take place at the same times as enrichment classes, so everyone chooses what they need at the moment.

A student with a statement of special educational needs has an individual educational and therapeutic programme. They are also supported by a co-teacher.

    When a child wants more

We have subject clubs: maths, science, chemistry, programming and reading. Teachers prepare students for subject competitions and contests.

A particularly gifted student can have an individual curriculum or an individual course of study. The application can be made by the student, a parent or the form teacher. The head teacher decides after hearing the opinion of the teachers' council and the psychological and educational counselling centre.

    All classes on equal terms

All classes follow the same core curriculum with the same number of hours. We develop interests through extra activities that anyone can sign up for.

My daughter goes to the science club and to remedial maths classes. Nobody in her class makes a big deal of it, and she chooses for herself what she needs.
