School catchment area

    Children living in the school's catchment area are admitted automatically, on the basis of a registration form, so it is worth starting by checking your address.

    What the catchment area means

    The school's catchment area is set by a resolution of the municipal council. A child living in the catchment area has a guaranteed place at our school, with no admissions procedure and no points.

    What counts is the place of residence, not the registered address. Parents confirm it with a statement attached to the registration form.

    The catchment area does not always match what you might expect. A building across the street may belong to a different area, and the school closest in a straight line is not necessarily your catchment school.

    Boundary streets

    Pay particular attention to streets split between catchment areas:

    • Cisowa — numbers above 47 and 52 belong to the catchment area of Primary School No. 3;
    • Grabowa — numbers 30 and above belong to the catchment area of Primary School No. 3;
    • Kasztanowa — numbers 1–11 belong to the catchment area of Primary School No. 12;
    • Lipowa — numbers above 75 and 80 belong to the catchment area of Primary School No. 12;

    Address outside the catchment area

    Parents may submit an application for admission. Candidates from outside the catchment area are admitted to places left after children from the area have been admitted, and the order is decided by points-based criteria.

    Change of address

    When a family moves into the catchment area during the school year, we admit the child automatically, at any time of year. An application and records from the previous school are needed.

    When a family moves out of the catchment area, the child may continue at our school.

    The school office will check your address

    Monday to Friday, 7:30–15:30. Just give the street and house number.
