After-school club
In this section3 pages
In the after-school club you wait for lessons or for your parents – safely, looked after by the club teachers.
Who comes to the after-school club
The after-school club is attended by children from pre-school classes and students in Grades 1–4 registered by their parents. Older students, from Grades 5–8, can come without registering when they are waiting for extra activities, the bus or a brother or sister.
When it is open
| Group | Morning | After lessons |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-school classes | 6:30–8:00 | 13:00–17:00 |
| Grades 1–4 | 6:30–8:00 | after the last lesson until 17:00 |
The after-school club is also open on days off lessons, from 7:00 to 16:00. You come then if your parents have signed you up in advance.
What we do in the after-school club
We have three rooms in the younger students' wing and a playroom where you can move around. You work in a group of at most twenty-five people, usually with the same teacher.
Each day has a different activity theme: art, building, reading, movement, and on Fridays either cooking or music. When the weather is nice, we go out to the sports field and playground. In the afternoon you can do your homework, and the teacher is happy to help.
Twice a year we hold an after-school club competition. Participants' work is displayed in the corridor.
Lunch and packed lunch
If your parents have signed you up for lunch, the club teacher will take your group to the canteen at a set time. In the morning you eat the packed lunch you bring from home.
What to bring with you
- indoor shoes, which stay in the cloakroom;
- outdoor clothes suitable for the weather;
- a water bottle with your name on it;
- if you like – your own book, crayons or a board game.
Phones, game consoles, collectible cards and expensive items are safest left at home. The after-school club is not responsible for things brought from home.
Who picks you up
You may leave the after-school club only with a person your parents have named in the authorisation. If someone else comes, even someone close to you, the teacher will first call your parents, and you will wait calmly in the club.
You go home on your own only if your parents have signed consent for it. The consent states the time when you can leave.
Who looks after you
The after-school club staff are the head of the after-school club Katarzyna Lewandowska and club teachers Aneta Szulc, Paulina Rybak and Marek Duda. You can go to your club teacher with anything.
