The library with its reading room is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 and has over 12,000 books.
What's in the collection
| Collection | Number |
|---|---|
| Fiction | 6,400 volumes |
| Set books | 3,100 volumes |
| Popular science | 2,200 volumes |
| Dictionaries, encyclopaedias and atlases | 900 volumes |
| Audiobooks and large-print books | 180 items |
| Subscribed magazines | 6 titles |
| Textbooks and workbooks | 8,700 copies |
The catalogue is electronic. It can be searched on the computers in the reading room.
Borrowing
You can borrow three books for three weeks at a time. We extend the loan if nobody else is waiting for the title.
Set books are lent for the time they are being discussed in lessons. When there are more readers than copies, the set book is also available to read in the reading room.
A lost or damaged book is replaced with the same title. If it is not available, the librarian suggests another book of similar value. We repair minor damage on site.

Reading room
The reading room has twelve workspaces and four computers with access to the catalogue and the internet. Students prepare for lessons here, work on projects or wait for extra activities.
We work quietly in the reading room. You may bring water in a bottle with a screw cap.
What else we offer
Requesting titles. You can tell the librarian about a book that isn't in the collection. We take requests into account when buying – every year several dozen books reach the library this way.
Audiobooks and large-print books. They help students who find reading difficult to get to know a set book together with their class.
Book swap shelf. In the corridor by the library you can take a book without signing anything and leave one of your own.
Ewa Szymańska – teacher librarian
The library is on the first floor, in the older classes' wing.
