New in the library
We buy new books twice a year, and announce lists of new titles and the June summary in the news.
When we publish the lists
| When | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Mid-October | purchases from the first part of the budget |
| Mid-February | purchases from the second part of the budget |
| Mid-June | a summary of the year and suggestions for the holidays |
For a month after the announcement, new books are on a separate shelf by the library entrance. Then they go to their place in the collection. The full list of titles is in the catalogue on the computers in the reading room.

Purchases are funded from the school budget and from Parents' Council funds. Some new books are donations from students' families.
We accept donations all year round. We add books in good condition that will be useful to readers to the collection. The rest go to the book swap shelf, where anyone can take them.
How to suggest a book to buy
Title and author
The book's title and author are enough. If they're hard to remember, a short description will help.
Request
With the teacher librarian, on a form in the library or in the box by the entrance.
Purchase
We take suggestions into account in the next round of purchases. Every year several dozen books reach the collection this way.
Suggestions come from students, teachers and parents. The librarian considers every suggestion when planning purchases.
