Year 4 classes at the open-air museum: bread, old toys and a farmyard

Three Year 4 classes spent a day at the open-air museum. Pupils baked bread, learned about old toys and visited a farmyard with farm animals.

The trip was an outdoor science and technology lesson. Pupils compared old and modern tools and identified breeds of farm animals in the farmyard.

At the workshop everyone shaped their own loaf of bread and took it home. In the toy room, pupils made their own spinning tops and straw dolls.

The trip was co-funded by the Parents' Council. Further outings for the Year 4 classes are planned for the spring.
