Teddy Bear Day in the pre-school groups

The pre-schoolers brought their favourite teddy bears to school. There was a teddy hospital, height measuring, a shared breakfast and reading of teddy bear stories in the library.

Teddy Bear Day falls on 25 November. Each child came with their own cuddly toy and introduced it to the group: its name, where it comes from and what it likes.

At the teddy bear hospital, children examined their soft toys, measured them and put bandages on them. We also talked about what a visit to the doctor is like and why there is no need to be afraid of it.

To finish, pupils from year 6 read teddy bear stories to the pre-schoolers in the library. This is part of the Reading Together project.
