Results of the first round of the Zielonogaj Maths League

Sixty-one pupils from our school took part in the first stage of the league. Everyone can enter the next stages, and points are added up for the final ranking.
The first-round tasks were about measurement and scale, for example working out how many tiles are needed for the school corridor. Estimation tasks went best, while the task about a bus timetable turned out to be the hardest.
In the grades 4–6 category, the top score went to a pupil from class 5C, and in the grades 7–8 category to a pupil from class 7A. Twenty-three pupils scored more than half of the possible points.
The second stage will take place in February. Maths teachers will share practice sets in January.
