eTwinning: quality label for the “Trees in our area” project

Published: 19 June 2026 Categories: Projects, Achievements

The eTwinning project that the fifth-grade classes ran with peers from three European countries has received a national quality label. It is a recognition for the teacher and the whole class.

Throughout the year the students observed the trees near the school: they measured the girth of the trunks, collected leaves and photographed the changing seasons. Our partners did the same at their schools, and the classes compared the results on shared boards.

In the end the classes produced a joint atlas of trees with descriptions in English and illustrations by the students. We will present the atlas at the project showcase in June.

The students decided for themselves what to measure and how to describe it. The label recognises exactly this independence and the good cooperation between the classes.
