Green Classroom: getting the school garden ready for the season

We have spread the spring work in the school garden over a whole week. Each class has its own task, from topping up the soil in the beds to sowing herbs and labelling plants.
The garden behind the sports field has six raised beds, a wildflower meadow and a compost bin. After the winter we need to top up the soil, repair the boxes and plan what to sow this year.
The work plan was drawn up by the project coordinator, science teacher Beata Sowa. Younger classes sow herbs and radishes, while older ones make plant name labels and keep an observation diary.
The week's plan in the garden
