Timetable
Where to find the timetable, how we announce substitutions and the rules we follow when drawing up the timetable.
Where to find the timetable
We publish the timetable for the new school year before 1 September. It is always the same version, available in two places:
- in the e-register – the student's timetable together with current changes and substitutions;
- on the noticeboard by the main entrance – timetables for all classes and changes for the day.
If the versions differ, the timetable in the e-register applies. Parents and students can see it after logging in to their accounts.
Substitutions and changes
| When we publish | Where |
|---|---|
| by 18:00 the day before | e-register |
| in the morning on the day of the change | e-register and the noticeboard by the entrance |
| change to the first or last lesson | also a separate message to parents |
Permanent timetable changes
The timetable may change during the year, most often because of staff changes or a new allocation of rooms. We announce a permanent change at least a week in advance, via the e-register and in the news section.
The new version of the timetable applies from the date given in the announcement. We do not change the timetable during a semester without an important organisational reason.
How the timetable is put together
When drawing up the timetable we look after students' mental workload:
- subjects that require the most concentration are scheduled in the first half of the day;
- PE does not fall immediately before the long lunch break;
- the workload is spread evenly across the week;
- we avoid free periods in the student's timetable;
- extra activities take place after compulsory lessons.
It is not always possible to meet all the conditions at once. Splitting classes into language and IT groups means that some rules conflict with each other.
Questions about the timetable
How do I know there's a substitution tomorrow?
Substitutions appear in the student's timetable in the e-register, usually by 18:00 the day before. Changes made in the morning are also announced on the noticeboard by the entrance.
Can my child leave early when the last lesson is cancelled?
Students in Grades 5–8 then finish earlier, and we inform parents by message. Students in Grades 1–4 leave early only with written consent from a parent; without it they stay at the after-school club.
Who should I contact with comments on the timetable?
Comments are received by the deputy head via the e-register or the school office. We look into every matter, although not every change can be made straight away.
