When we go outside
We use the playgrounds during long breaks, during after-school club time and in lessons for Grades 1–3. When it's above 5°C and not raining, we go out every day. The decision is made by the teacher on duty or the after-school club teacher.
Please make sure your child has clothes suited to the weather and shoes that can get dirty. We want every child to be able to go outside with their group.

School garden
In the garden students sow, plant and observe nature all year round. Classes look after the beds according to a rota, and volunteer families do so in the summer holidays.
In autumn the leaves from the school grounds go into the compost bin. In spring the compost goes back on the beds, and students see the whole cycle with their own eyes.
Safety
Playground equipment is inspected every year before September and visually checked every month. Damaged equipment is taken out of use and taped off until it is repaired.
Faults are reported to the caretaker, directly or through the school office. Teachers are on duty during breaks and outdoor activities according to a rota, and the gates are locked during school hours.
Trees and greenery
Four trees on the school grounds are protected. Any work on them is carried out only with the consent of the relevant authority.
The lawns, hedge and flower beds are maintained by a member of the school's support staff. Students help with planting and tidying as part of science lessons.
