Completed projects
Projects we have already completed and what they have left at the school.
Why we remember completed projects
A completed project stays on the website with its description and results. Later year groups use the ready-made materials, and teachers have lesson plans and work plans to start from.
Parents choosing a school can see that project work has been going on here for years. You will find reports on each project, with dates and photos, in the news section below.
What we did
| Project | Who it is for | What stayed at the school |
|---|---|---|
| “Birds of Our Neighbourhood” | Grades 4–6 | nest boxes on the school grounds and bird observation sheets for every season |
| “Our Neighbourhood Then and Now” | Grades 6–8 | a photo exhibition in the hall and a guide to the area around the school |
| “Green Classroom” – stage one | the whole school | raised beds, a wildflower meadow and a compost bin; the project continues |
| “Maths Around Us” – first edition | Grades 4–8 | a set of applied maths problems, available in the library |
What we do with the materials
Lesson plans, problem sets and worksheets go to the library and to the teachers' shared resources. Any teacher can use and develop them.
Students' work – exhibitions, guides and games – stays at the school and is used in lessons. Some of it is in display cases in the corridors.
The neighbourhood guide we made in seventh grade is still in the library. My younger sister used it on a trip and told me everything in it is right.
