Erasmus+: teachers observed lessons at a partner school

Four teachers spent a week at a partner school as part of the Erasmus+ programme. They observed lessons, talked with the host teachers and brought back ideas that we are already trying out in our classes.
The trip took the form of job shadowing, that is learning by accompanying another teacher in their daily work. The teachers who went taught early years education, maths, science and English.
They paid most attention to small-group work, assessment with comments instead of marks, and outdoor lessons. Each of them kept an observation journal, which we discussed at a meeting of the subject teams.
In April the teachers will run open lessons for their colleagues at our school. They will demonstrate the methods they saw at the partner schools.
